For this afternoon's English class, the Serra students taught both the vocabulary and pronunciation of today's art lesson for the children. Here, Teacher Peggy is showing how to teach watercolor resist. All students then practiced watercolor while the Serra students helped the Vietnamese seminarians learn their art vocabulary.
The watercolors were donated by Serra art students who had finished using them at the end of art class this semester. Thanks to all you guys for doing this.
Quyen (in light blue), along with Tino and Evan, listen to Teacher Peggy explain the finer points of hue gradation and its effect on the neonatal cortex.
The art was both deep and profound. While we nay not have any budding da Vinci's, there were definitely shapes we could identify. This is the way to an art teacher's heart.
