The Chair and the Shirts

On my walk this morning,I spotted the perfect chair for the desk and for watching soccer games. It was lightweight and folded up. So in the afternoon I conned Tuan into taking me to get it. The shop is owned by Fr. Phuc's older brother, so I got a great deal. Here we are celebrating the transaction. We went on to the market to get a couple of shirts made, so we picked up the chair on the way back.
Here I am at the same shop where I always get my shirts made. It is owned by a young couple who have a young child. The shirts and pants are all stitched by hand. Material for the shirts can be bought at the market or right in the shop. I'm a cheapskate, so I went with what they had in stock.
Everyone gets personally measured, and she promised me that the shirts would make me look muscular. I liked that a lot. In the back on the right you can see a looping rod with a curtain. That's the changing room. The new material is folded neatly on the left and finished garments are hung up on the right.
I will get the final fitting in two days and then any changes are quickly made. The price? 240,000 total. Wow, that's a lot! Well, actually, that's $5.73 for each shirt. Take that, Brooks Brothers.
On the way back we picked up the chair and I held it over my head, Vietnamese style, on the motorbike. When we got back I tried it out for Quyen.
Not to be outdone, Quyen tried it also, with Tuan getting a chuckle out of it.

Two shirts and a chair for $22. Like a boss.
