For the past three years, the bishop has invited these special catechists for a day retreat at the cathedral. All parishes have catechists, people who teach and hand down the tradition of the faith. These 200 women are, however, special. After the country became one in 1975, the government forbade the teaching of religion. Each of these women ignored the certain prison sentences and taught clandestinely. They risked their freedom to teach the . Thank you very much to all of you. The strength of the Church in Viet Nam is due to your sacrifice.
