I was reading Geraldine Brooks's novel, People of the Book, when I heard the roar of the wind and then then the deluge came. I ran to the window of the hallway and took this video. Each year I make sure that Sue gets to see the rain, her favorite kind of weather. The temperature dropped about 10 degrees and now, a half-hour later, all is still and cooler.
