Children's Art Class...Day 2, Part 1

The day before we worked with half of the young music students to do art. Today, it was the other half. To get the full effect, click on the photos and see the tremendous detail the children have put into their work.

Nam is working with two girls, practicing how to apply the paint carefully.
Nam showing off the work of his table to Cooper.
The oldest boys worked with Mike at the front table.
There is nothing that focuses a person like art. Every little detail become the most important detail because it is from you, by you.
Adam adopted a table of little girls and taught them how to do resist (write with a light-colored crayon first, then when watercolor is painted over it, the lines appear magically). They loved him and got a little fan club.
Everyone needs to take time out to enjoy what she's done. The smile means it's coming along just fine.
Eddie's charges were in the back of the room and he made sure each one had fresh water and weren't frustrated.

The facilities weren't the most conducive to great drawing and painting, but an artist needs to overcome adversities and then use them in their art.
All of the pictures were about happy things, people, and ideas. Tien's picture eventually included everything that is at his house. I'm thinking that in about 20 years it could fetch more than a Van Gogh.
He wanted his picture taken so badly...
...so I finally took it.
The boy on the right was quite the energetic one last year, always yelling and running around. But this  year he has changed dramatically and is one of the most respectful, creative, and fun of all. God always works in his own time.
Evan and Tien showing off their artwork also. The faces of everyone either showed serious concentration or a smile of joy.
