Before boarding the bus to Phat Diem, everyone had an enjoyable lunch at the airport. This was the rowdy table. All those hours on a plane and they still had energy left.
This is the quiet table, known for their in depth discussions of current events. Note the gravitas that Chris and Adam bring to the conversation.
Mr. Lierk decided to pour all of his life savings into Vietnamese dong. Unfortunately for him, the exchange rate was not that good at this bank and all he got was some wooden nickels and a vintage My Little Pony.
Michael, however, hit the jackpot and made off with hundreds of thousands of dong. We all then decided he would be our best friend for at least the duration of the trip.
And we're off on the four hour trip to Phat Diem in the middle of the countryside. Here is everyone on the bus, looking chipper and ready for what's coming.
What was coming was a rest stop. After surveying the amenities, everyone sat down to some down home Vietnamese tea and a special sweet bread that you could smell for miles. Eddie decided he wanted to visit this bakery more often.
