The Nguyen Family Visits and a Party for Sixtine

I was blessed to have a visit from my good friends from Hanoi. This is their family around the table: Nam Vu is 6, Nam is 16, then their driver, Binh and her husband Vinh, and that's the back of my head. They stayed overnight so we had lots of time to chat and enjoy each other's company. Below is a picture of Nam Vu playing with the puppet theater that was given by Antonia Ehlers who works with me at Serra High School. Since his mother teaches English at her home, there will be many children writing and acting out their English stories with the puppets. This is one gift that will be used every day.

Is this one happy kid or what?

It was sad to say goodbye to Sixtine. Can you imagine, after graduating from college, spending six months in a foreign county where you did not know anyone or how to speak the language. And to think she now speaks Vietnamese well and eats everything on the table! It was difficult to say chao this morning, but she is going back to see her parents and her boyfriend. Thanks, Sixtine (and thanks for the motorcycle helmet -- I will wear it with pride).
