This is the first of an occasional series of pictures that don't quite fit into a specific story, but rather fill in the blanks for all the stories. At left is Mr. Hieu next to a beautiful flowering bush. It seems that most of the flowers are on bushes and trees but not on low stems like tulips or irises we have at home.
We ran into Fr. Van walking after breakfast. He is like everyone's grandfather and a person you can talk to about anything...and he has a tremendous smile.
This elderly woman works on the grounds every day picking up stray leaves and fallen flowers. It is a gentle job and she is a gentle person.
The pond in front of where the girls stay has beautiful lotus blooms. It is impossible not to take a perfect picture of a lotus.
Here is a picture of one part of the pond with the building for the older girls in the background. You can see the yellow and pink flowers on the trees and the lone lotus blooming.
