Yesterday, I went with Fr. Hien and my English students to Sam Son beach. This is my third time there and it was beautiful as usual, although almost 100 degrees. The water seemed cooler because of the heat and it was inviting. We rode the waves -- OK, we splashed around and made fools of ourselves -- or over an hour. Then we went to the local parish for lunch and a nap. After taking in the local sights, we left to come back and stopped at the bishop's house in Thanh Hoa to see their new building project. And we got a tour of their massive kitchen which is the video. I'll put up pictures of the beach later because I was too busy enjoying the water so Fr. Hien took the photos.
